Michael Vedder Exhibit

The Grand Blanc Arts Council presents pastels, paintings, and drawings by Grand Blanc artist Michael Vedder from September 17th through October,2016 at Genesys Health Park, on the 2nd Floor between the elevators.

Michael Vedder has exhibited in several juried art shows throughout Michigan.  His work has been sold locally, state wide, and internationally.  He is a member of the Grand Blanc Arts Council as well as other associations.


Michael Thomas Vedder

Michael Vedder is an artist with a studio in Grand Blanc, Michigan where he lives.  Born in 1960 near Olivet, Michigan he received his BA of Studio Arts from Olivet College, Olivet Michigan.

In Olivet he studied under Charlotte Whitney, Don Rowe, and Jim Hay for Oil and Acrylic Painting, Sculpture (Weldments – Bronze castings – Woodwork), Drawing, and Graphics (Etching, Lithograph, and Woodcut).  Vedder was the Graphics Studio (Nez Perce Studio) apprentice for three years and won several artistic awards at Olivet.

Vedder’s work can be found in several private collections both in the United States and abroad.  He has been part of several public statewide juried exhibitions as well as several one man shows throughout Michigan.
