In partnership with Genesys Hospice, the Grand Blanc Arts Council is featuring an exhibit of expressionistic paintings by Mary Beth Schiros August 24 - November 9.

Her colorful “mindscapes” can be seen on the second floor of Genesys Health Park, between  the elevators.

 


“The term I like to describe my work is “mindscape” an abstract and impressionistic, view of the world as I see it. My subjects are eclectic simply because there is so much to choose from in life. With my art, I hope everyone can tap into the creative universe that surrounds us and find inspiration to enrich life.” -  Mary Beth Schiros


Mary Beth Schiros is a Visual Artist, living in Michigan.  
Mary became a certified watercolor instructor in 2004 from Alexander Art and Simply Painting. She has studied for many years at the FIA  and taken courses from Joseph Fettingis, Caroline Jasper, Robert Burridge, Tom Lynch and Kathleen Conover. and has Mary is also a member of several local art associations, was a resident artist with the Red Ink Studio and a member of Art at the Market.

The style of Mary Beth Schiros is described as bright and colorful.  Her work ranges from impressionistic to abstract, but always incorporating vivid expression. Mary’s work has sold across the US, Canada and the UK.  Angelo State University, San Angelo Texas and The University of Michigan. She has taught workshops and painting classes about acrylic, ink and watercolor painting.
